I just spent a good half hour making a packing list for Anime Iowa! I probably could have spent that time working on actual cosplays for AI but…. meh.
So I’m working on one of my cosplays for Anime Iowa- Kotoko from Chobits. I’m using some official CLAMP artwork as the inspiration for a prop. I’m using Kamui Cosplay’s tutorial for expanding foam crafting to make Kotoko’s pen. I highly suggest checking out everything Kamui Cosplay does. She’s pretty amazing!
I’m so very, very tired, but I can’t sleep. I hate my body right now. ;_;
But because of my insomnia I discovered pink plexiglass on amazon so GUESS WHO’S MAKING A BEAUTIFUL FIONNA SWORD? THIS GIRL!
Also I ordered stuff for my kotoko cosplay. You should all be excited.
Throwback… I have no idea what day it is. :P This is Osfest 2012, when I debuted my Poison Ivy costume. My Harley and I did our own Arkham Asylum uniforms, and we did steampunk versions for the steampunk ball that night.
This wasn’t a very fun con for me because of some drama, but I did have a rather fun time at the hotel bar. I got a lot of compliments on my beautiful red hair, and I broke some hearts when I told them it was a wig.
I’m posting from outside Dusseldorf in Germany. The children of our hosts are going to some sort of anime convention today, but I’m going to Cologne with the adults instead. :( I’d rather be at the anime convention, but oh well. I’ll probably post more pictures later.
The Nebraska Renaissance Faire is this weekend! I’m going to be on vacation, so I won’t get to go. :( But my vacation is in Europe, so I guess I shouldn’t complain. :P
In any case, while I was reading my camera for my vacation, I found this pictures from last year’s renaissance faire! So enjoy some cute pics of my faun costume.
Also pictured: Epic (pixarcorgi) and my boss and owner of Fairytail Costumes Laurie Aspinall.
So I’m attending WillyCon in Wayne, NE this weekend! It was a very last minute decision. Hope to see some of you there!

Check out my super amazingly gorgeous friend Michelle! She went to Naka-kon this weekend, and I’m happy to say that I got to help her with some of her costumes. :) I altered her Elsa base dress and base shirt, patterned, sewed, and hand-painted her Elsa cape, styled her wig, and also helped her with some minor adjustments on her Lara Croft holsters. We may be adding some more details to her Elsa later on.
If you have any questions on how we made Elsa, I’d be happy to share. Send me an ask!
I tried on wigs tonight for funsies. Merida is maybe… ¾ done? And I’ve decided this other wig works beautifully for a Myka Bering cosplay.
